Google launches ‘Switch to Android’ app to help users easily transfer data from an iPhone

Google has made a new switch to the Android application to let consumers move data smoothly from the iPhone to an Android smartphone, according to a report. The switch to Android software is wireless, so users don’t have to bother connecting two cellphones with cables. This software is available for download from the Apple App Store.

“Software to Android from Google allows you to quickly and safely migrate your most important data types – Images, movies, contacts, and calendar events – to a fresh android smartphone that is fresh without fussy cables,” according to the description.

Now, because this does not include communication, it looks like the software will not be able to transfer messages, but will teach users how to stop iMessages so they don’t miss the text of friends and family. According to Google, this software is temporarily “delisted,” which means it cannot be found through the Apple App Store search, but can be downloaded through a direct link. This application also does not display in the App Store or on the Google developer website. This can only be accessed via a direct connection.

At present, the switch to the Android website runs through customers through typical Android migration procedures, which reserve backup contacts, calendars, images and videos through the Google Drive iOS application before switching devices.

This is comparable to the software ‘move to iOS’ Apple, which has helped Android customers in migrating to the iPhone since 2015. This software is free to download from the Google Play Store.
