The sequel to Bright was announced after the release of the first film released in 2017. Now it came 5 years later, now it was reported that the sequel had been canceled since the WILL Smith Slap-Gate incident. This film has many updates for many years so this is all that we know so far about Bright 2.Released on December 22, 2017, Bright is a big new fantasy thriller starring Joel Edgerton and Will Smith. This film is regulated in an alternative Los Angeles where humans live with ORC and other mythical creatures.
At the time of the release, Netflix noted that it was one of his biggest film releases. The film was mainly released before Netflix reported on a 2-minute statistics or statistics per hour, therefore, we did not know how well the bright pile of years later. Then it was reported that 60 million users of Netflix watched a film even though it was not clear about what time period ended.
On January 3, 2018 Netflix confirmed that the sequel would return tentatively named Bright 2 (the confirmation seduce below also suggested joking names such as Bad Boys in Mordor, Orcs Gone Wild and Wand Wars).So with all that time passed since the announcement, where we were with a sequel that was expected to see the return of Will Smith and Joel Edgerton in their respective roles. After the announcement, under the work of the film Find Line noted that “Casting had taken place” on January 8, 2018.David Ayer was announced to write a manuscript (although Evan Spiliotopoulos was then purchased into rewriting) with Eric Newman and Bryan Unkeless produced again (the couple worked with Netflix in the whole agreement).
Variety Insight reports that the Grand Electric, Clubhouse Pictures, and Crave Films will all return to producing films.2019 is a big year for the film with the filming reportedly planned to begin in the summer (especially July) that year. It never produced results, but with the scheduling conflict Will Smith seemed to cause robbery.Of course, in 2020, very few came out of the ground because Covid-19 prevented production from running that seemed to cause re-thought around the manuscript. It was confirmed in May 2020 when the deadline revealed that David Ayer would no longer direct the film and Louis Leterrier was being supervised for the role of the director.

In the fall of 2021, Netflix released an anime spin-off bright: Samurai Soul released in October 2021 with a little or without hubbub. The film failed to reach the top 10 Netflix in any region and only had 5.5 on IMDB.Many are worried that this project has been stopped or put behind the burner after many Will Smith projects are canceled or stopped. They were stopped because of Smith’s actions at Oscar where he slapped Chris Rock who told the joke at the expense of his wife. Following Oscar, Indiewire reported that Smith was still joining to repeat his role in his sequel.
However, in April 2022, all hopes were lost in the project. Bloomberg reported that Will Smith’s National Geographic Series Pole to Pole had been delayed but did not mention Bright 2. Lucas Shaw, another media writer in Bloomberg, stated on Twitter that the project had been canceled quietly saying:Netflix also stopped the development of other SMITT projects in the form of Fast and Loose film. The Hollywood reporter first delivered news about that. The board remains the only one -the Will Smith project is now on Netflix.
