The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is in the controversy center to host Iftar dining in Sylhet for Hindu participants with plates including beef. The taste of iftar provided at the venue does not have an alternative to beef, thus triggering a hobby on social media.The IFTAR party organized by the BNP Sylhet Unit was attended by at least 20 Hindu party leaders and activists on Thursday, according to reports in the National Daily in Bangladesh. This event is usually attended by Muslims and other community members, but when all plates have beef together with other dishes, it triggers an angry reaction.
Even journalists invited from the Hindu community are reported to be offered beef. After the incident, BNP local Hindu participants descended on Facebook to condemn the organizers.”In the absence of any alternative for beef, I along with 20 other Hindu colleagues must witness all Muslim leaders and activists violating fasting,” wrote Nath’s daughter -in -law, a local BNP member, expressed his anger at the invitation.
Describing the arrangement as a joke, Kanak Kanti Das, a local leader from the BNP Student Agency, said, “You enjoyed your Iftar and us [Hindu invitation] had just been left staring”.Without offering any apology, BNP Sylhet District leaders then admit fake. This has caused several people to reverse the BNP and Jamaat track records that are proven from systematic attacks on minorities
