Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The southern Gulf emirate of Sharjah reported Thursday a shift to an extended weekend for the authority area.
The move comes after the United Arab Emirates said Tuesday it is cutting the authority working week to four-and-a-half days and moving its end of the week to Saturday and Sunday.
Going above and beyond, the Sharjah Executive Council said its choice was taken “in accordance with the UAE vision to upgrade its cutthroat position”.
The functioning week for Sharjah’s administration organizations is to be diminished to Monday to Thursday, and the end of the week will run among Friday and Sunday.
The switch, because of start on January 1, would “support the business climate and financial market, and stay up with worldwide turn of events”.
While turning into the main Gulf country not to have a Friday-Saturday weekend, the asset rich and eager UAE currently comes into line with the non-Arab world.
